Operations

Chief Operations Officer (Leadership)

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and managing the production of our Solutions Library and the training given by FORE Australia to both interns and external parties regarding policy communication. The COO will ensure that our Solutions Library serves as a valuable resource for public servants, advisors, politicians, and the general public, translating complex policy ideas into actionable solutions. They will also manage the training portion of the organisation guaranteeing that material is topical, current and appropriately aligned with the mission of FORE Australia.

Policy Officer (Core Team)

As a Policy Officer, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to write and develop high-quality policy briefs that will be featured in FORE Australia’s Solutions Library. Your role will involve researching policy issues, liaising with NGOs, academics, and decision makers, and transforming complex research into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll also play a key role in building and maintaining the organisation’s network of collaborators, ensuring a diverse range of voices contribute to the policy discussions. With 4-10 hours per week, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape impactful policy solutions and will evolve into part of the core Policy Specialist team at FORE Australia.

Copy Editor (Core Team)

As a Copyeditor at FORE Australia, you will work under the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to ensure the clarity, consistency, and quality of policy briefs and other written materials. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and editing content for grammar, punctuation, style, and adherence to the organisation’s guidelines, ensuring that all documents are polished and professional. You will collaborate with policy officers and team members to enhance the overall quality of communication, making complex ideas accessible to a broader audience. This role requires 2-6 hours of flexible work per week and is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for effective communication in the public policy arena.

Marketing

Chief Marketing Officer (Leadership)

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that increase awareness, engagement, and support for the organisation’s mission. This role involves leading outreach efforts, managing communications, and building the organisation’s brand.

Marketing and Social Media Officer (Core Team)

As a Marketing and Social Media Officer at FORE Australia, you will work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to develop and execute creative content strategies across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Your role will focus on increasing public engagement, promoting the Solutions Library, and building the visibility of FORE Australia. With a flexible 4-10 hours of weekly work, you'll help manage social media calendars, design visuals, write engaging posts, and track analytics to measure the impact of campaigns. This position is ideal for someone passionate about digital marketing and storytelling in the public policy space.

Finance

Finance Officer (Core Team)

The Finance Officer will work under the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), supporting the financial health and sustainability of FORE Australia. In this role, you will assist with budgeting, financial reporting, grant management, and sponsorship opportunities. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and contributing to funding strategy development. With a commitment of 4-10 hours per week, this role offers flexibility and the chance to gain hands-on experience in managing finances for a dynamic, youth-led non-profit organisation.

Engagement 

People and Culture Officer (Core Team)

As the People and Culture Officer, you will work alongside the Chief People Officer (CPO) to support the recruitment, retention, and development of FORE Australia's diverse team. You will help create a positive, inclusive workplace culture by assisting with HR initiatives, onboarding processes, team engagement strategies, and professional development programs. This role requires 4-10 hours per week and offers the opportunity to shape the internal culture of a fast-growing organisation, focusing on fostering collaboration and driving the personal and professional growth of team members.
